In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, small acts of kindness can make a big difference. That\u2019s where The Peyton Heart Project ( https:\/\/thepeytonheartproject.org\/<\/a> ) comes in. This inspiring initiative uses handcrafted hearts to spread messages of hope and kindness to people around the globe. I started crocheting hearts in 2023 and still make some throughout the year. I love that they can be made in a matter of minutes, especially if I\u2019m working on a big project and need a break from it. For my 60th birthday, I made 60 hearts to give out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Is The Peyton Heart Project?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Peyton Heart Project was formed in 2015 and  is a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about suicide prevention and mental health issues. Named in memory of Peyton James, a 13-year-old boy who tragically died by suicide in 2014, the project encourages conversations about mental health and promotes kindness. Volunteers craft small hearts with inspirational messages attached and leave them in public places for others to find. These little hearts are a beacon of hope, reminding people that they are not alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
